Description:
|
Zebra Finches are itinerant visitors on these Plains, probably due to a loss of grasslands. This species is one of the most common aviary & cage birds, & is abundant in the wild in inland Australia. Spring is not far away when Acacia notabilis bursts into flower on the Blyth Plains, 130km north of Adelaide. This wattle is short lived, but provides valuable cover for small birds & animals.
